Miya ("we," "us") operates trymiya.com and the Miya mobile apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Waitlist. If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and an optional source tag (for example, which page you signed up from).
Account. If you create an account, we collect information needed to authenticate you — such as your email address and profile details provided by our auth provider.
Apps you create. We store the apps you make, including titles, descriptions, prompts, and the app content needed to run and save them on your shelf.
App usage data. Each app you use may store its own data — chore logs, scores, notes, and similar information. This data is tied to your account and stays separate from other users, including when you open a shared app.
Usage and diagnostics. We collect basic technical information about how the Service runs — device type, app version, error logs, and feature usage — to keep Miya reliable and improve the product.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service — generate apps, save your shelf, sync across devices, and share apps you choose to share
- Operate accounts, billing, and customer support
- Send waitlist and product updates you expect from us
- Monitor performance, prevent abuse, and fix bugs
- Improve Miya over time
3. Memory and recommendations
Miya offers an optional Memory feature. It is off by default. If you turn it on, we may use your recent app prompts to suggest new ideas tailored to what you've been building. You can turn Memory off anytime in Settings.
4. How sharing works
When you share an app, we share the app definition — the template others can open — not your private data inside it. Someone who opens your shared link gets their own fresh copy of the app's data.
5. Service providers
We use trusted vendors to run Miya — for example, hosting, authentication, email delivery, and app generation infrastructure. They process information on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it and use it only to provide services to us.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You may delete apps from your shelf, close your account, or ask us to delete waitlist information by contacting us.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
- Waitlist: email us to be removed
- Memory: toggle off in Settings
- Account data: delete apps or request account deletion by contacting us
- Marketing email: unsubscribe using the link in any message we send
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
If you use Miya from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
