These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Miya's website at trymiya.com, our waitlist, and the Miya mobile apps and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Miya helps you create personal mini apps from plain-language descriptions. The Service is currently in Alpha. Features, pricing, and availability may change. We may add, change, or remove functionality at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
3. Your account
Some features require an account. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us at hello@trymiya.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Your apps and content
You may describe, create, save, and share personal mini apps through the Service. You retain ownership of the content you provide, including prompts and app data, subject to the rights you grant us below.
You grant Miya a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service — for example, to generate an app, save it to your shelf, sync it across your devices, or share the app definition with people you choose.
You are responsible for what you create and share. Do not use the Service to build apps that violate law, infringe others' rights, harass people, or distribute malware.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Attempt to break, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Service
- Misrepresent your identity or access another person's account without permission
- Use the Service to generate content that exploits or endangers minors
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.
6. Sharing
When you share an app, others receive the app definition — not your private data inside it. Each person who opens a shared app keeps their own separate data. You are responsible for deciding what to share and with whom.
7. Paid features and builds
Some parts of the Service may require payment or consume monthly app-build allowances. Prices and limits shown on our website or in the app apply at the time of use. Failed app builds that do not produce a usable result should not count against your allowance; if you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us.
8. Intellectual property
Miya owns the Service, including our brand, website, and underlying software. These Terms do not give you ownership of Miya's technology or branding. You may not use our name, logo, or marks without written permission.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that every app request will succeed, that generated apps will meet your expectations, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use generated apps at your own discretion.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Miya and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
